AI-assisted non-destructive testing
Aidge simplifies the deployment of embedded artificial intelligence algorithms for ultrasonic weld inspection in the field of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), thereby helping to improve the reliability and efficiency of diagnostics on critical infrastructure such as nuclear power stations. In particular, Aidge enables the quantisation of a ConvNeXt-type vision model and the automatic generation of optimised code for an embedded system based on an NXP i.MX8 board. This integration enables real-time assistance for operators whilst ensuring the confidentiality of industrial data. The optimisations provided by Aidge enable performance of over 12 frames per second, validating the solution’s use in operational conditions. This approach helps to reduce the risk of error, standardise diagnostics and significantly speed up inspection operations, with analysis times potentially reduced from several hours to just a few minutes.
